Jose Barreto MD, PT
Dr. Barreto was born and raised in Isabela, Puerto Rico. Since he was a kid, he’s had interest in science, nature and sports.
While playing baseball at age 15, he took a big swing and hurt his back. He needed a month of intensive physical therapy and it was during that recovery that he was afforded the opportunity to learn more about health care and the specialists that treat musculoskeletal injuries. Based on these experiences, he decided to become a physical therapist (PT).
After 3 years of training in PM&R, he knew he was closer than ever to the goal of becoming an expert in the field.

New feeling. Excellent.
A very compassionate, knowledgeable and experienced doctor. My experience with Dr. Barreto and Liz was exceptional. They took the time to listen to me and explained in great detail what the treatment was going to be. Dr. Barreto has many years of experience in the field of chronic pain and is very knowledgeable in what he does. The practice is beautiful and calming. I am so happy to have such an incredible team here in Lake Nona.
A no rush, complete healthcare experience. Dr. Barreto is very kind and is not in a hurry to listen to his patients. I was able to ask questions, did not feel rushed and I am happy with the treatment strategy he proposed.
